The Temporary Print & Mail Operations Lead oversees the accurate and timely completion of the daily activities for print operations, the mailhouse, warehouse and imaging. This assignment supports the Manager on internal and external client service issues. This assignment is required to work with print vendors on initial job quotes and placing reorders of stock in addition to:
Oversees the processing of all print jobs, incoming and outgoing mail, and the imaging of all incoming operational mail.
Oversees the initial ordering, reordering, recordkeeping and storage of all print inventory items for the company. Including meeting with and selecting print vendors.
Researches any operational or service problems for internal and external clients.
Prepares statistical management reports.
Maintains or coordinates maintenance of all machinery in the print area, mailhouse and imaging areas.
Other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required with 3-5 years’ related work experience.
Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
Must pay attention to details and maintain an organized workflow.
Must be able to juggle tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines.
Must possess or willing to acquire coaching skills to encourage individual and team growth.
Must be able to communicate well with all levels of staff.
Typing 45 wpm with high accuracy required.
Must be able to design an Excel spreadsheet using intermediate functions and design merge documents in Word.
Must be able to support and provide back up for all positions in the print, imaging and mail team.
Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle.
An acceptable Motor Vehicle Report is required.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal clients, external clients and vendors.
Must be able to complete minor machine adjustments as necessary on the print & mailing machinery.
Must be willing to operate a forklift.
Must be able to operate traditional office equipment.
Must be able or willing to acquire knowledge to be able to operated mailing equipment, printers and may need to operate a forklift.
The assignment may require strenuous physical work involving pushing or pulling objects with pallet jack in excel of 100 pounds and/or lifting 50 pounds frequently. Shift will vary, initially will work a day shift then move to 4 AM to Noon shift, frequent overtime required.
